Greta Hodgkinson

Greta Hodgkinson hails from Providence, RI†(USA).

In 1990 after she graduated from the National Ballet School in†Toronto, she was admitted to†The National Ballet of†Canada. Artistic skill and brilliant dance technique, which Hodgkinson demonstrated in†all her roles, won over the admiration of†audiences.

Her roles included Juliet in†“Romeo and Juliet“, Hanna in†“Merry Widow“, Aurora in†“Sleeping Beauty”, Katherina in†„The Taming of†the Shrew,” Nikiya in†„La†Bayadere,” Giselle and Manon.

During the last season (1998-1999) Greta Hodgkinson danced as†Odette/Odille in†the world premiere of†James Kudelka's “Swan Lake“.

She also gained fame due to†her performances in†the pieces of†contemporary choreographers: Summer in†Kudelka's “Four Seasons,” Pas des Deux in†Forsythe's „Herman Scherman”, roles in†ballets by†Glen Tetley and George Balanchine.

Miss Hodgkinson performed as†a†guest artist in†Paris, Stuttgart, Sydney.
