Alexandra Liashenko

She was born in Kharkov, Ukraine. Graduated from The State Ballet School, Kharkov, than The State Institute of Culture, Kharkov, Ukraine (diploma with honors). Main teachers were Svetlana Kolyvanova, Theodor Popescu, Tamara Starikova.

Engagements: National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, Kharkov, Ukraine (2002-2007), Ballet of the State Baltic Opera, Gdańsk, Poland (2007), Ballet of the Wielki Theatre, Poznań, Poland, as a Soloist (2008-2009) and The Polish National Ballet, Warsaw, in 2009 as the First Soloist since 2010.

Her repertory with National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, Kharkov included: Clara & Doll in The Nutcracker (V. Vainonen), Cinderella in Cinderella (I. Tchernichov), Radish in Cipollino (G. Maiorov), Cupid, Kitri's Friend in Don Quixote (A. Gorsky), Peasant Pas de deux in Giselle (M. Petipa), Pas de quatre, Neapolitan Dance in Swan Lake (Petipa, L. Ivanov), D'jampée Soloist, Pas d'action in La Bayadère, Fairy of Diamonds, Fairy of Canaries in The Sleeping Beauty (Petipa), Grand pas from Paquita (Petipa) and others. Her repertory with Ballet of the Wielki Theatre, Poznań included: Juliet in Romeo and Juliet (E. Wesołowski), Swanilda in Coppélia (S. Woźniak), Good Fairy, Doll in The Nutcracker (S. Woźniak), Four Swans in Swan Lake (E. Wycichowska, trad. / L. Kowalska), Beauty in Pan Twardowski (H. Konwiński), and solos in Krzesany (E. Wesołowski), Moderato of Karol Szymanowski (B. Wrzosek) and others.

Her repertory with The Polish National Ballet, Warsaw includes: Isolde in Tristan (K. Pastor), Juliet in Romeo and Juliet (E. Wesołowski), Berlin Requiem, Wie lange noch? and other solos in Kurt Weill (Pastor), Princess Aurora, Princess Florine in The Sleeping Beauty (trad. / Yuri Grigorovich), Cinderella, Fairy Autumn in Cinderella (F. Ashton), Nikiya, Shades-Soloists, Pas d'action in La Bayadère (trad. / N. Makarova), Doll and Chinese Dance in The Nutcracker (A. Glegolski), Prince's Friend (Pas de trois) and Neapolitan Dance in Swan Lake (trad. / I. Mukhamedov), Solange in Chopin, the Romantic Artist (P. Bart), Gavotte in In Light and Shadow (Pastor), Kitty in Anna Karenina (A. Ratmansky), solos in In Search of Colours (J. Tyski), The Kisses (Wesołowski).

As a guest actress she performed in Ukraine, Poland, France (Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, Gala des Etoiles du XXIè siècle, Vichy), German, Russia (Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg), Austria, Norway, Egypt, Spain, China, Taiwan (tour), Japan, etc.

Her awards: First Prize and Special Prize for creativity and individuality at the International Ballet Competition Fouette of Artek in Crimea, Ukraine (2002), First Prize at the International Ballet Competition Cristal Shoe in Kharkov, Ukraine (2004), Second Prize at the International Ballet Competition in Kiev, Ukraine (2007), First Senior Prize at the 16th Dance Competition in Gdańsk, Poland (2009).
