La¸titia Pujol

1992: after her studies at the Conservatory of Music and Dance in Toulouse, she is awarded the first Prize at the International Dance Competition in Lausanne, and entered the Paris Opera Ballet School.

1993: Engaged in the Corps de ballet, aged 18.

1994: Promoted to «Coryphée». Won the silver medal at the International Varna Competition. Danced the Bluebird pas de deux in The Sleeping Beauty (Nureyev) in the “Young Dancers“ series, the Scots pas de deux in La Sylphide (Lacotte after Taglioni), Fall River Legend (de Mille), the „pastorale” in The Nutcracker and the pas de cinq of the Precious stones in The Sleeping Beauty (Nureyev).

1998: Danced the Peasant pas de deux in Giselle (after Coralli and Perrot).

1999: Promoted to “Sujet”. Cast as one of the three Shades in La Bayadère, pas de trois of Swan Lake and the 2nd variation in The Sleeping Beauty (Nureyev), IXth Symphony and Ada in Le Concours (Béjart).

2000: Promoted to «Première danseuse».

Subsequently she danced Polymnie in Apollo, Emeralds / Jewels (Balanchine), Catherine in Wuthering Heights (Belarbi), The Vertiginious Thrill of Exactitude (Forsythe), Bella Figura (Kylián), Henriette in Raymonda, Clara in The Nutcracker, Gamzatti in La Bayadère and Cupidon in Don Quixote (Nureyev), Other Dances, The Cage (Robbins).

Named «Étoile» after performing for the first time the role of Kitri in Don Quixote (Nureyev) on May 2  2002.

She has since added to her repertoire : Symphonie en ut, The Four Temperaments, Concerto Barocco, Tchaïkovski-pas de deux, Agon (Balanchine), title-role of Giselle (after Coralli and Perrot), Pulcinella (Dunn), title-role of Paquita (Lacotte after Mazilier and Petipa), Etudes (Lander), Suite en blanc (Lifar), title-role of Sylvia (Neumeier), Aurore in The Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella — dancing the roles of the Sisters and the title-role, Romeo and Juliet, Odette/Odile in Swan Lake (Nureyev), Le Loup (Petit), Le Parc (Preljocaj).

Soloist roles created with the Paris Opera Ballet: Paquita — pas de trois (Lacotte after Mazilier and Petipa, 2001), La Petite Danseuse de Degas — title-rôle (Bart, 2003), Liebeslieder Walzer (Balanchine, 2003), The House of Bernarda — dancing the old sister Ek, 2008), Triade (Millepied, 2008).

She is entitled Chevalier of Arts and Letters.
